How the 4:1 ratio works

On the same Qrio account, maintain four active paid-plan QR codes and leases for each free offer code. Eight paid codes support two free codes (10 total); twelve support three (15 total). Monthly and annual paid plans can qualify. Trial, overdue, cancelled, expired, paused and archived codes do not qualify. Free offer codes do not themselves count as paid codes.

When an allowance is available, create a code and choose “Activate 4:1 offer”, accept these conditions and the Qrio terms, then complete Stripe checkout. The offer is for additional codes you enrol explicitly. Existing paid subscriptions are unchanged. Older enrolled offer codes have priority if there are more offer codes than your allowance. Paused or grace-period offer subscriptions still reserve their allowance until cancelled or converted to paid billing.

Your 24-hour grace period

If a change removes eligibility, the dashboard shows a deadline at least 24 hours after the change is recorded. During this grace period the offer code can continue redirecting, provided the code itself remains enabled and its subscription is active. Restoring eligibility before the deadline clears the pending charge. A later loss of eligibility starts a new 24-hour period.

If eligibility has not returned at the deadline, we remove the discount and charge your authorised payment method £1.99 including VAT for a new monthly billing period. Processing normally occurs within five minutes after the deadline, but may take longer if payment services are unavailable or billing is queued. You are not charged before the deadline or retrospectively for the grace period. If a previous payment still covers the code, that paid period is honoured: removing the discount does not start an overlapping paid month, and the next charge occurs at the existing renewal date. Redirects may be temporarily unavailable after the deadline until payment is confirmed. Failed payments must be resolved before the code can redirect again.

If you qualify again

The 4:1 discount is restored when your account qualifies again. If you already paid for the current period, that period continues and the discount applies to subsequent renewals. Regaining eligibility does not by itself refund time already purchased. The ordinary cancellation and pro rata refund rights in the Qrio terms still apply.

Payment and cancellation

Offer subscriptions use monthly billing in GBP at a base price of £1.99 including VAT when chargeable. Annual billing, the separate 7-day trial and voucher codes are not combined with this offer subscription. Your other subscriptions retain their existing plans. If your card account uses another currency, your issuer may convert the payment and charge its own fees.

Completing offer checkout authorises conditional recurring payments; it is not an unconditional free service. Cancel through “Manage subscription” at any time. Cancelling during the grace period avoids the forthcoming conversion charge. Scans stop when the subscription is cancelled. Pausing or archiving a QR code stops scans but does not cancel its subscription or prevent a charge after loss of eligibility.
